WHAT'S IT ALL ABOUT
Literary Pleasures is really about my love of books, which began at an early age with my Grandfather. He was a book binder, with a cupboard in the bedroom my sister and I shared when we stayed, full of paper, boards, glue, half completed, finished and just started books. The aroma of its combined contents have never left me. His pleasure in sharing wonderfully bound books, with hand made marbled papers, remains pictorially in my mind.
I have always loved reading and spent my working life, in education, writing all manner of documents, while, in my spare time writing the social history of my family, but it is only in the last three years that I turned to writing a novel. So why now? Please explore to find out. Oh! What's with the picture, I hear some of you asking. Well it's a moody summer sky in Brighton. Reading further might just make sense of it!
